PRAYER VIGIL HELD AT THE FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Over thirty citizens from several local churches and the community joined with members of the Franklin Police Department in a prayer vigil outside of the Franklin Police Department on Thursday, July 14th.  Reverend Nathan Decker, of High Street Methodist Church, coordinated the effort to pray for our nation, our community, and our law enforcement.

Reverend Decker was joined in this effort by Apostle Peggy Scott, Fellowship Around the Word Church, Bishop James Ashby, Franklin Church of God, and Pastor Keith Rose, Pine Level Baptist Church.  The Honorable Frank Rabil, Mayor of the City of Franklin, and his wife, Lynne, were in attendance

Among the officers in attendance was Chief of Police Phillip Hardison who addressed those in attendance upon conclusion of vigil.  Chief Hardison thanked those present for their efforts to join together as a community, for their concern regarding recent events which have occurred in our country, and their continued support of the Franklin Police Department and its members.

The vigil was a wonderful show of support and a great opportunity for members of the department and the community to come together in fellowship.
