NORFOLK, - Phillip Jerome Murphy, 41, of Franklin, pleaded guilty yesterday to charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin and possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. A fellow Bloods gang member, Collie Sanks, 37, of Emporia, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin on Sept. 17, 2015.
The Franklin Police Department engages in a number of community outreach opportunities on a regular basis. From watch group meetings, to domestic violence forums, and even gun safety programs with children, the department rarely misses a chance to communicate to the community. However, on July 23th of this year, the department participated in a particular form of outreach that they haven't pursued for a long time; their first police department tour in years.
For Immediate Release: A rear end collision has resulted in the arrests of a Norfolk man and woman. Officers responded to an accident call, upon arrival one of the vehicles involved fled the scene.
