Course Description:  First Responder agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction on what they should do if confronted during an active attack event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) and Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC) courses, are designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004. The training provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active attack event. These courses combine the civilian response with a small medical component, which empowers civilians to provide life-saving medical aid before first responders arrive. The training includes the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role and options for immediate (civilian) responders, and covers limited medical prevention.

Course Objectives:    The objectives of the CRASE and CRCC training is to aid and enhance schools, colleges, universities, businesses, and community members with direction if they are confronted with an active attack event.
